At South Coast Therapy & Support Group, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news—our Allied Health Assistant (AHA) team is growing! As part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, responsive, and client-focused care, we’ve recently welcomed three new AHAs to our team: Lia, Lauren, and Lili.
Each of these exceptional new team members brings a unique mix of experience, enthusiasm, and specialist knowledge to our service. Whether supporting clients with their therapy programs, preparing resources, or assisting during sessions, Lia, Lauren, and Lili have already made a wonderful impact, and we’re so happy to have them on board!
What Is an Allied Health Assistant?
Allied Health Assistants play a vital role in supporting the work of our occupational therapists and speech pathologists. They work under the guidance and supervision of our qualified clinicians to help deliver therapy programs, support clients with practice between sessions, and ensure continuity of care across appointments.
AHAs contribute to a range of tasks including:
Implementing therapy plans developed by OTs and speech pathologists
Assisting with therapy sessions, both in-clinic and out in the community
Preparing and maintaining resources and equipment used in sessions
Tracking client progress and providing feedback to the therapy team
Facilitating group sessions, school or home visits, and supporting community-based therapy goals
By working closely with both clients and therapists, AHAs help maximise therapy outcomes and make sure our services are as effective and engaging as possible.
Why We’re Expanding the Team
As our clinic continues to grow, so too does the need for tailored, flexible, and team-based therapy support. By expanding our AHA team, we’re able to:
Increase client access to high-quality therapy support
Deliver more frequent therapy opportunities at a lower cost
Offer consistent support between therapy appointments
Provide more collaborative, wrap-around care
Adding new team members like Lia, Lauren, and Lili allows us to deliver on our mission to support individuals across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions to reach their goals—whether that’s through fine motor skills development, communication strategies, social skill-building, or daily living support.
Welcome, Lia, Lauren & Lili!
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest AHAs. Their fresh ideas, positive energy, and passion for client-centred care are already helping shape the next chapter of our service delivery. Whether you see them in the clinic, at your school, or out in the community, know that you’re in capable and caring hands.
Stay tuned to our website and social media channels as we continue to introduce more of our team and showcase the amazing work they do every day.
