Great news for local families—Sense Rugby Shoalhaven has expanded! To meet growing community demand, we’re now offering sessions twice a week at the Shoalhaven Rugby Club, making it easier than ever for children and teens to experience the powerful benefits of this occupational therapy-based sports program.

Whether your child needs support with social skills, emotional regulation, or motor development, Sense Rugby delivers real therapeutic outcomes through play, teamwork, and movement.

New Schedule: Two Age-Based Groups

To better support developmentally appropriate activities and goals, we’ve structured Sense Rugby into two tailored groups:

  • Tuesdays at 4:00 PM – For children aged 4 to 7 years

  • Thursdays at 4:00 PM – For children and teens aged 8 and above

Both sessions are held at the Shoalhaven Rugby Club and led by qualified occupational therapists, supported by our experienced allied health team.

What Is Sense Rugby?

Sense Rugby is an inclusive sports program designed by occupational therapists to help children and young people who may find it hard to join mainstream team sports. It supports participants with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • Developmental delay

  • Sensory processing challenges

  • Anxiety or emotional regulation needs

Through structured activities based on rugby, participants are supported to feel safe, succeed, and enjoy movement—while working on their therapeutic goals.

Why Choose Sense Rugby in Shoalhaven?

We’ve seen firsthand how Sense Rugby helps children and teens thrive. By expanding to two afternoons a week, we’re:

  • Making the program more accessible for busy families

  • Offering age-appropriate activities and groupings

  • Ensuring smaller group sizes for personalised support

  • Supporting children at different developmental stages
