Every big journey starts with a single step. For South Coast Therapy & Support Group, that step began humbly—delivering therapy from the boot of a car. What started as a simple vision has now grown into one of the South Coast’s leading allied health practices, with multiple clinics, award-winning services, and a strong commitment to community care.
From Humble Beginnings

Our story began with Claire Carson, an occupational therapist passionate about making therapy more accessible, flexible, and client-focused. Starting out in the Shoalhaven, Claire worked with just a handful of clients, often providing services wherever they were needed—at homes, schools, or workplaces.
Not long after, Nathan, an engineer with a background in operations and business management, joined the journey. Together, they combined clinical expertise with strong systems and leadership to create something special: a therapy service that could grow while staying true to its values.
Rapid Growth, Strong Foundations

In just a few short years, South Coast Therapy & Support Group has:
Doubled its team of therapists and support staff.
Expanded services across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra.
Increased service hours by 97.4%.
Supported a 42% growth in clients.
Despite this rapid growth, our focus has never shifted. Every decision we make is grounded in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that meets the needs of local families.
Staying Local, Staying Connected
Unlike larger providers that stretch across the country, our roots remain firmly in the South Coast. This local focus allows us to:
Tailor services to the unique needs of our region.
Build long-term, trusting relationships with schools, workplaces, and other community organisations.
Keep waitlists as short as possible while still offering personalised care.
We are also deeply proud to serve our community beyond the clinic walls. This year, our team loved participating in Stars of Nowra and helping raise money for the Cancer Council. Supporting important causes close to home is part of how we stay connected and give back.

A Vision for the Future
We are proud of how far we’ve come, but our story is still being written. We remain committed to:
Expanding access to therapy.
Investing in our team.
Innovating with new programs and technologies.
Continuing to deliver care that is local, personal, and client-centred.
From the boot of a car to thriving clinics, our journey has always been about one thing: improving lives through therapy that truly makes a difference.
