We were thrilled to welcome students from Shoalhaven High School into our clinic recently for a vibrant and inspiring Careers Day, proudly coordinated in partnership with The Smith Family.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to explore the world of allied health and experience firsthand the rewarding careers available in occupational therapy, speech pathology, and allied health assistance. Our team was excited to share what we do, how we support the community, and the many pathways into our profession.
The day was packed with interactive and engaging activities. Highlights included:
Sense Rugby demos, where students learned how therapy and sport can come together to support kids in building motor skills, confidence, and social interaction.
Assistive technology sessions, where students had a go at using different tools and equipment designed to help individuals live more independently.
Speech pathology games and activities, giving students insight into how communication challenges can be assessed and treated in a fun, supportive way.
The energy in the clinic was fantastic—full of questions, curiosity, and laughter. Our team loved connecting with the next generation and inspiring potential future therapists.
We’re always excited to support young people exploring health careers, and we regularly accept work experience students in our clinic. If you’re a student, teacher, or parent interested in learning more about these opportunities, feel free to get in touch with us!
Thank you again to Shoalhaven High and The Smith Family for organising a wonderful day. We look forward to doing it again soon!
