At South Coast Therapy & Support Group, we believe in supporting our community not only through our professional services but also by showing up for causes that make a meaningful impact. Recently, our Managing Director, Nathan, did just that—stepping onto the dance floor one last time to reprise his Stars of Nowra performance at the Be You Ballroom Showcase.
The Dance That Made a Difference
The Stars of Nowra is an inspiring fundraising event where local leaders partner with professional dancers to perform ballroom routines and raise money for the Cancer Council. Earlier this year, Nathan and his dance partner, Alicia, trained for months to perfect their routine. Their performance wasn’t just entertaining—it helped raise over $9,000 to support cancer research, prevention programs, and services for people affected by cancer.
This week, Nathan and Alicia reunited to perform their dance one final time at the Be You Ballroom Showcase. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the effort, dedication, and generosity that went into their original performance and to remind everyone of the difference that community spirit can make.
Why Community Involvement Matters to Us
For our team, participating in events like Stars of Nowra goes far beyond the dance steps. It’s about:
Giving back to causes that impact so many lives.
Connecting with the community outside of our professional roles.
Raising awareness and supporting vital services like the Cancer Council’s work.
Inspiring others to get involved and contribute in any way they can.
We are so proud of Nathan for stepping out of his comfort zone, embracing the challenge, and demonstrating the power of compassion and collaboration.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We’d like to extend our gratitude to Alicia for her guidance and talent, and to everyone who came along to cheer them on. Your support means so much—not only to our team but to the individuals and families facing cancer across our region.
How You Can Help

Together, we can continue to build a stronger, kinder community—on and off the dance floor.
