South Coast Therapy & Support Group began with a simple but important goal: to provide high-quality, accessible occupational therapy services to people living on the South Coast of New South Wales.
What started as Shoalhaven Occupational Therapy has grown into a multi-disciplinary allied health service supporting individuals and families across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions. This growth has not been accidental—it has been driven by community need, a commitment to quality care, and a vision to do things differently in allied health.
Responding to a Real Community Need
Access to allied health services in regional areas has historically been limited. Families often faced long waitlists, travel to metropolitan areas, or inconsistent service delivery.
Shoalhaven Occupational Therapy was established to address these challenges locally—providing:
Timely access to occupational therapy
Community-based services
Practical, goal-focused support
As demand grew, it became clear that the community needed more than just occupational therapy.
Expanding Services to Meet Demand
To better support clients and families, services expanded to include:
Speech pathology services
Functional assessments and NDIS reporting
Therapy groups and skill-building programs
School, home, and community-based therapy
This expansion led to the development of South Coast Therapy & Support Group, a service designed to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care across the lifespan.
We now support clients across:
Shoalhaven (Nowra, Ulladulla, surrounding areas)
Illawarra (Shellharbour, Albion Park and surrounds)
